Last weekend we spent in Vragender, at the well-known and very pleasant international competition Jumping de Achterhoek. This was a special competition in multiple respects, so we’ve been busy working towards this beautiful competition the past few months. During this competition the international debut of our young talent Izzy (Inshallah de Muze) and the first 1.40m grand prix by Hyke and Camaxima (Camax L) were on schedule.
After both horses passed the vet-check in good health we were allowed to participate. Our trainer and coach, Alwin van Duiven, was also present at the competition, so it was nice to get some extra support and we’ve learned a lot this weekend. Izzy started very strong which resulted in a clear round. A great job at his young age! His lack of experience was noticeable, which makes sense, but we are extremely proud of how he showed himself.
