Hello, and you’re very welcome to the website of Dutch Horse Center.

We would like to take you on a short review of the year 2021. Despite an unusual time, partly due to the corona virus, we have had a special year, we;ve experienced beautiful moments and learned a lot.

The year did not start so well unfortunately, Hyke had to suffer a wrist fracture. A quiet period for the horses was the result.

In March, Hyke picked up the competition rhythm again. We worked towards CSIY Opglabbeek. 19 years of age, Hyke participated in her first Young Riders Nations Cup for the Netherlands with Camaxima. This goal had been high on our list for a long time.

Shortly thereafter another Nations Cup followed, early May. We traveled to Lamprechtshausen, Austria and enjoyed the atmosphere, location and our amazing horse. But we came for the sport, and it was a successful weekend. After two rounds, the Young Riders team that Hyke and Camaxima were part of went home with the win! What a day, a dream come true.

We are grateful to have been part of Team NL this year and the fantastic experiences it has brought us this year.

Besides these great performances, our other horses have also grown a lot. At both international and national shows we achieved great results with our horses. Our six-year-old Kaijalita had multiple placements at CSI Herzlake and CSI Houten, and jumped her first CSI* grand prix very well.

We have also started to train and school new, young horses. We are happy with the progression they have made this year and they are showing great potential. Nice placements at national competitions are already the result. To stay up to date you can also follow us on our socials (@dutchhorsecenter) where we post updates of our passion for the horses, work by our fantastic DHC team and the sport.

We are especially happy with the growth that our horses have experienced this year but also we as team DHC. The horses are currently enjoying a small and well deserved rest period after the busy season. How grateful we are for the effort they have put in. In the meantime, this gives us the chance to make a few adjustments to our accommodation and get ready for a happy and successful new year in which we strive for excellence.

If you have any feedback for us, please do not hesitate to contact us as we are very happy to receive it.

The support we have received this past year has been greatly appreciated. Many thanks to everyone involved.

Wishing you and yours a prosperous 2022. Best wishes,

Team Dutch Horse Center
